I recently just took an amazing trip with my cousin to NYC for the first time! We jam packed the four days with sight seeing and eating at all the best restaurants! Here are some of my favourite places we went during our time! WHERE TO STAYWe stayed in Manhattan at the Royalton on Park Ave and it was breathtaking! If you’re into modern decor, rooftop pools with views of the Empire State Building, and balconies overlooking the city, this is the place for you! WHERE TO EXPLOREFor a piece of tranquility amongst the city head towards Central Park and Battery Park! These parks are absolutely beautiful and bring a sense of relaxation to the hustle and bustle of the city. For a day filled with art and history look towards the MET! This museum was absolutely amazing and HUGE spanning a whopping 2 million square feet! Until October 8th the Heavinly Bodies Met Gala showcase will be displayed! I highly recommend going to see this it’s absolutely breathtaking! Brooklyn Bridge was another highlight! It was really cool to be able to walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn in such a short time and the views were incredible! At the bottom of the Brooklyn Bridge is an unknown park called Dumbo. It has a small little bank/park area where families come to relax by the river and view the bridges and skyline. It’s absolutely amazing to see the contrast of industrial bridges and calming waters! World Trade Center was another site that was at he top of my list. The views from the tower was unlike anything else and you could see for miles. But the real beauty was at the 9/11 Memorial next to the WTC. I think it’s something everyone who goes to NYC should see and pay their respects to those who lost their lives. WHERE TO EATCatch is absolutely amazing for an upscale NYC dining experience! The portions are small and intended for sharing so you get to try a bit of everything which I loved! Mudspot Coffee was an amazing little breakfast cafe with delicious freshly brewed specialty coffees! This one is apparently not as touristy so I’m giving up a secret location! Joe’s on the other hand is notoriously famous for their pizza! The walls of the restaurant are lined with celebrities at the pizza shop! It was sooooo good! Highly recommend if you’re a pizza lover like me! For another upscale dinner restaurant Bar Masa was an amazing Japanese and Sushi restaurant! The Manhattan location close to Central Park was so intimate and beautiful! I highly recommend their beef fried rice! For a more fun and unique eating experience head towards Chelsea Market! It is essentially an indoor foodie heaven set up like a mall where you drink and eat your way around different local vendors restaurants!
